bright mountain -光山

1970〜1980年代頃の西陣織と推定される袋帯を使用して制作しました。

金銀の糸で描かれた山々と、柔らかなグラデーションが織りなす風景は、まるで水墨画のような静謐な美しさをたたえています。その美しい山景には、長寿や繁栄の象徴とされる亀甲文様があしらわれ、品格と奥ゆかしさが調和しています。

なかでも、淡い緑で彩られた部分は、光の角度によって表情を変え、まるでオーロラのように輝く幻想的な趣を楽しめます。
静けさの中に、自然の息吹と光の余韻を感じさせてくれる一枚です。

This artwork was created using a fukuro obi (formal kimono sash) woven in Kyoto’s Nishijin district during the 1970s–1980s.

The landscape of overlapping mountains, expressed through gold and silver threads and soft gradations, evokes the quiet elegance of a Japanese ink painting (sumi-e). The beautiful mountain scenery is accented with kikkō (tortoiseshell) patterns—traditional symbols of longevity and prosperity—adding a sense of refinement and quiet dignity.

Most strikingly, the pale green section shimmers with an iridescent glow that changes with the light, offering a dreamlike beauty reminiscent of an aurora.
It is a piece that evokes the breath of nature and the lingering glow of light, all within a sense of quiet stillness.
