20代の頃、海外で働く機会があり接する中で、外国人が日本の文化や歴史について深い関心と情熱を持っていることに大きな衝撃を受けました。その一方で、日本人でありながら十分に答えられなかった自分に恥ずかしさを覚え、自分自身が日本という国をあまりにも知らなかったことに気付かされました。その経験をきっかけに、日本各地を訪れ、茶道や着物の着付け、食文化などを学び直す中で、日本には世界に誇るべき素晴らしい文化や美意識が息づいていることを改めて実感しました。そして、それらを守り、次の世代へ受け継いでいくことの大切さも強く感じるようになりました。
帯アートフレームは、役目を終えた帯に新たな命を吹き込み、「日本の美と心を楽しむ新しいカタチ」を表現しています。 受け継がれてきた美しい文化に新たな価値を見出すことは、文化を未来へつなぐだけでなく、持続可能な社会への小さな貢献にもつながると信じています。
私は、義父から受け継いだ想いを大切に育てながら、日本の伝統美の魅力を世界へ発信するとともに、私たち日本人自身がその価値を改めて見つめ直すきっかけをつくりたいと考えています。
日本にしかない文化や行事が、時代の流れの中に埋もれることなく、これからも未来へと受け継がれていくことを心から願っています。また、ITONIKAの作品を通して、日本の美しさや文化の価値を、より身近に感じていただけたら嬉しく思います。

When I was in my twenties, I had the opportunity to work overseas. Through meeting and talking with people from different countries, I was deeply struck by the genuine interest and passion they had for Japanese culture and history.

At the same time, I felt embarrassed that, despite being Japanese, I could not answer many of their questions. It made me realize how little I truly knew about my own country.

That experience inspired me to rediscover Japan by traveling throughout the country and studying the tea ceremony, kimono dressing, and Japanese food culture.
Through this journey, I came to appreciate once again that Japan is home to a rich cultural heritage and a unique sense of beauty that deserves to be shared with the world. I also came to realize the importance of preserving these traditions and passing them on to future generations.

I believe that discovering new value in our inherited cultural heritage not only helps preserve it for the future, but also contributes, in a small way, to a more sustainable society.

By carrying forward the vision I inherited from my late father-in-law, I hope to share the beauty of Japan's traditional culture with the world while also encouraging Japanese people to rediscover the value of our own cultural heritage.

It is my sincere hope that Japan's unique traditions and cultural customs will continue to be passed down to future generations without being lost in the passage of time.

Through ITONIKA's artworks, I also hope that more people will come to appreciate the beauty of Japan and the value of its culture in a way that feels personal and accessible.
