1970〜1980年代頃の西陣織と思われる帯を額装したアート作品です。
山々や大地の地層を思わせるデザイン。
日本の自然の豊かさと長い年月の積み重ねを映し出しているよう。大地の恵みや、地に足をつけて生きるという日本人の価値観を象徴するかのような落ち着いた色彩。時の流れや環境の変化の中で、土地の色が少しずつ移ろいながらも、そのすべてが美しい調和を生み出していることから、この作品を「地彩」と名付けました。
This artwork features a Nishijin-ori obi, likely woven in Kyoto during the 1970s–1980s, framed as a one-of-a-kind piece.
IInspired by layered mountains and the earth’s strata,
this design reflects the richness of Japanese nature and the quiet accumulation of time.
Its grounded, earthy palette evokes the blessings of the land
and the Japanese sense of living with stability and harmony.
As the colors of the earth change through time and environment,
each layer holds its own unique beauty.
From this harmony of shifting natural tones,
the piece was named Chisai — “Colors of the Earth.”
