1970〜1980年代頃の西陣織と思われる帯を使いました。綴織（つづれおり）と思われる織り方で、色糸を織り分けながら絵画のように模様が表現されています。

山々や大地の地層を思わせるデザイン。
日本の自然の豊かさや、長い年月の積み重ねを映し出しているようにも感じられます。
時の流れとともに、土地の色が少しずつ移ろいながら、美しい調和を生み出しているように感じ、この作品を「地彩」と名付けました。

We used an obi believed to be Nishijin-ori from around the 1970s to 1980s.

The weaving is thought to be tsuzure-ori, a technique in which colored threads are woven separately to create patterns almost like a painting. This gives the textile a distinctive texture and a beautiful sense of layered color.

The design evokes mountains and layers of the earth.
It also seems to reflect the richness of Japan’s natural landscape and the passage of time accumulated over many years.

As the colors of the land appear to shift gradually with time, while still coming together in beautiful harmony, we named this piece “Chisai” (地彩).
