Golden Harmony － 瑞翔

1980〜1990年代頃の西陣織と推定されます。
金糸と色糸が巧みに織り重ねられており、立体感と優雅な輝きを生み出しています。
モチーフは、夫婦円満・良縁の象徴である”鴛鴦（おしどり）”と、日本の国花で新しい門出を意味する”桜”。背景には、長寿と繁栄を願う”亀甲文様”や、平安や穏やかな暮らしの永続を象徴する”青海波”が配され、古典的吉祥文様が贅沢に織り込まれています。

Estimated to be Nishijin-ori from the 1980s–1990s.
Gold and colored threads are masterfully interwoven, creating both depth and an elegant radiance.

The motifs feature oshidori (mandarin ducks), symbols of harmony and a happy marriage, together with cherry blossoms, Japan’s national flower, representing new beginnings.
In the background are auspicious classical patterns: the kikkō (tortoiseshell hexagon), wishing for longevity and prosperity, and the seigaiha (blue ocean waves), symbolizing peace and the continuity of a calm, prosperous life.

This piece lavishly incorporates traditional Japanese motifs of good fortune, expressed with refined artistry.
