1980〜1990年代頃の西陣織の袋帯と推定されます。
黒の地に、金糸と銀糸で織り出された大ぶりの葉と、鮮やかな赤と銀の桔梗が咲き誇る華やかなデザインです。

桔梗は、古来より「吉更（さらに吉）」と音をかけ、縁起の良い吉祥文様として親しまれてきました。
平安貴族の和歌や絵巻の題材にも多く登場し、武士の家紋にも用いられた格式高い花です。
花言葉は「清楚」「気品」。赤は情熱と生命力、銀は清らかさと高貴さを表し、全体として力強さと優美さが共存するデザインになっています。

金糸と銀糸の光沢が、角度によって輝きを変え、まるで光を纏った現代アートのよう。
インテリアに格調と鮮やかなアクセントを与え、見るたびに心を華やがせてくれる一枚です。

Framed artwork created from a Nishijin-ori obi, believed to have been woven in the 1980s–1990s.
Set against a deep black background, bold golden and silver leaves intertwine with vivid red and silver kikyo (bellflowers), creating a striking yet elegant composition.

The kikyo motif has been cherished in Japan since ancient times, associated with the phrase “kichi sara ni kichi” (“good fortune upon good fortune”), making it a symbol of auspiciousness and prosperity.
It frequently appeared in Heian-era poetry and picture scrolls and was favored by samurai families as a dignified crest, including those of Akechi Mitsuhide and Sakamoto Ryoma.
The flower symbolizes purity and grace, while the red conveys passion and vitality and the silver brings a sense of refinement—together evoking both strength and elegance.

The gold and silver threads shimmer beautifully with the changing light, transforming the piece into an almost contemporary artwork.
An exquisite statement piece that adds vibrancy and a sense of refinement to any interior space.
