1980〜1990年代頃の西陣織の袋帯を額装した作品です。
金・銀・淡彩の糸に加え、西陣ならではの引箔（ひきばく）を用いて、絵画のような光の層を織り上げています。柔らかい色調の中に金の面が静かに輝き、角度によって人物や文様がふわりと浮かび上がるような美しい陰影が広がります。

こちらの帯には、帯の世界でも希少とされる人物モチーフが織り込まれています。
古典物語の一場面を思わせる姿は「舞楽図」「天女図」「王朝文様」と呼ばれる格式の高いジャンルで、婚礼やお祝い事など特別な日にのみ使う帯。金・銀・淡彩色の糸を巧みに重ね、曲線で区切られた各エリアごとに異なる地紋や織技法を使い分けた、大変手の込んだ一本です。

《文様について》
● 人物文様（舞楽・宮廷風景）
流れるような衣の線、優雅な立ち姿は、古典物語の一場面を思わせる希少な文様。人物が織り込まれる帯は制作数が少なく、現代ではほとんど見られない貴重なジャンルです。

● 流水文・波文
全体を曲線で区切る流水は、清らかさ・継続・四季の移ろいを象徴。多彩な地紋と組み合わさり、山水図のような奥行きをつくります。

● 花唐草・菊文・抽象化された唐花
繁栄・長寿・吉祥を表す王朝風の花々が、グラデーションの中に静かに浮かび上がります。

This piece features a Nishijin-ori fukuro-obi crafted in the late 1980s to 1990s, beautifully presented in a custom frame.
Alongside gold, silver, and softly tinted silk threads, it incorporates hiki-baku, a traditional Nishijin technique in which gold leaf is applied to paper and woven into the fabric—creating luminous layers reminiscent of fine Japanese paintings.
Within its gentle palette, the gold surfaces glow quietly, revealing figures and patterns that seem to emerge softly as the angle of light changes.

This obi contains a rare woven depiction of human figures, a motif highly prized in the world of obi.
The elegant scene, reminiscent of a moment from a classical tale, belongs to a prestigious category known as Bugaku-zu (court dance), Tennyo-zu (celestial maidens), or Ocho-monyo (Heian court motifs).
Such motifs were traditionally reserved for weddings and celebratory occasions.
Each curved section is woven with different techniques and ground patterns, demonstrating the extraordinary craftsmanship and complexity characteristic of high-grade Nishijin textiles.

Pattern Motifs
● Human Figures (Bugaku & Courtly Scenes)
Graceful silhouettes and flowing garments evoke scenes from ancient literature.
Because figure motifs are seldom woven, such obi are exceptionally rare and scarcely produced in the modern era.

● Flowing Water & Wave Patterns
The sweeping curves that divide the composition represent running water—symbolizing purity, continuity, and the passage of the seasons.
Together with varied ground weaves, they create a landscape-like depth reminiscent of sansui-ga (traditional Japanese landscape paintings).

● Floral Arabesque, Chrysanthemums, and Abstract Courtly Flowers
Imperial-style blossoms symbolizing prosperity, longevity, and good fortune emerge softly within the layered gradients, enhancing the piece with a quiet, dignified elegance.
