1970年代~1980年代頃の西陣織と推測されます。金糸・銀糸をふんだんに織り込んだ「錦織」ならではの厚みと陰影があり、当時の西陣織の高度な技術と美意識を感じられる一枚。

日本とアジア、西洋の装飾文化が重なり合うような豊かな表情のデザイン。重厚さと華やぎが共存する昭和の西陣織らしい色彩が魅力です。

《文様について》
・菱文（ひしもん）
右側に連続して現れる菱形のパターン。ルーツは、ペルシャ絨毯→インド更紗（さらさ）→日本へと伝わった文様。江戸～昭和にかけて帯のデザインとして人気だったそう。
意味：魔除け、繁栄、永続性

・メダリオン（花章文）
中央や左側に見られる、丸い花のような華麗な文様。もともとは西アジアの装飾に見られ、日本では格式高い帯に使われる文様です。
意味：富、調和、格式

・和花（桜・梅・菊）
織りの中に四季の花々がちりばめられています。”小花の重ね文様”は昭和の袋帯の代表的なスタイルです。
意味：四季・再生・長寿

・唐草文様
蔓のように全体を結ぶ唐草は、古来日本から縁起の良い文様。
意味：生命力・繁栄・縁が続く

Believed to be a Nishijin-ori obi woven between the 1970s and 1980s.
Richly woven with gold and silver threads, this piece embodies the depth, weight, and elegant shading characteristic of nishiki-ori (brocade weaving).
It reflects the high level of craftsmanship and refined aesthetic sensibilities of Nishijin during that era.

The design presents a harmonious blend of Japanese, Asian, and Western decorative traditions, creating a composition full of cultural depth.
The vivid yet dignified colors convey the spirit of Showa-era Nishijin weaving, where opulence and sophistication coexist beautifully.

About the Motifs
• Hishi (Diamond Pattern)
A continuous series of diamond shapes seen on the right side.
Its origins trace from Persian carpets → Indian sarasa textiles → Japan,
and it became a popular motif in obi design from the Edo to Showa periods.
Meaning: Protection, prosperity, continuity.

• Medallion (Flower Emblem / Kashō-mon)
Circular, ornate motifs seen at the center and left.
Originally from West Asian decorative arts, medallions were used in Japan for high-status obi designs.
Meaning: Wealth, harmony, dignity.

• Japanese Seasonal Flowers (Sakura, Ume, Kiku)
Small woven flowers from each of the four seasons are scattered throughout.
Layered “small floral motifs” are a hallmark of Showa-era fukuro-obi.
Meaning: The seasons, renewal, longevity.

• Karakusa (Arabesque Scrolls)
Vine-like patterns that flow across the entire design.
A traditional auspicious motif in Japan since ancient times.
Meaning: Vitality, prosperity, lasting connections.
