1980～1990年代の西陣織と推定される帯を用いて制作しました。
松や菊、四季の草花、庭園の風景など、日本の伝統的な吉祥文様が豊かに織り込まれた一枚。
古き良き日本の雅やかな情景を思わせる、気品と優美さに満ちた帯アートです。
【文様の意味】
・扇文様→繁栄、末広がりに良いことが広がっていく
・菊→不老長寿、高貴、国花
・松→永遠、不老長寿、変わらぬ愛
・鶴→夫婦円満、長寿、吉祥
This artwork was created using a vintage obi woven in Nishijin, Kyoto, estimated to date from the 1980s–1990s. Nishijin weaving is renowned for its refined craftsmanship and rich decorative designs.
The composition features a variety of traditional Japanese auspicious motifs, including pine trees, chrysanthemums, seasonal flowers, and garden scenery. Together they evoke the graceful atmosphere of classical Japan and reflect a sense of elegance, harmony, and timeless beauty.
【Symbolism of the motifs】
• Folding fan — a symbol of prosperity and expansion, representing good fortune spreading outward like the opening of a fan.
• Chrysanthemum — the national flower of Japan, symbolizing longevity, nobility, and dignity.
• Pine tree — a symbol of eternity, longevity, and enduring love.
• Crane — representing marital harmony, long life, and auspicious fortune.
