「流水文」は厄災を洗い流す浄化の意味をもつ吉祥文様です。
水、波、山といった自然の美しさを日本の伝統文様で表現しながら、光沢のある彩色で縁取られた岩山がモダンな印象を与え、遊び心と神秘性をあわせ持つ独特の世界観を生み出しています。
Estimated to be Nishijin-ori from the 1970s–1980s.
The wave motif symbolizes eternity and prosperity,
the rocky mountain motif represents longevity and enduring strength,
and the flowing water motif signifies purification, washing away misfortune
—each an auspicious design in Japanese tradition.
While expressing the beauty of nature—water, waves, and mountains—through traditional motifs, the softly lustrous outlines of the rocky forms add a modern touch, creating a unique world that blends playfulness with a sense of mystery.
