1970〜80年代頃の西陣織の帯と推定されます。
やわらかな色調の中に、七宝（しっぽう）、青海波（せいがいは）、立涌（たてわく）など、日本の伝統文様が幾重にも重なり合う華やかな帯。文様を雲の形に取り込む「雲取り（くもどり）」の構成によって、それぞれの意匠が浮かび上がるように表現されています。
七宝は円が連なり広がっていくことから「ご縁・円満・調和」、青海波はどこまでも続く穏やかな波から「平穏・末永い幸せ」、立涌は立ち昇る蒸気を表した文様とされ、「上昇・生命力」を感じさせます。さらに、楓や草花などの植物文様も散りばめられ、近くで見るほど新たな意匠を発見できる楽しさがあります。
吉祥の象徴とされてきた雲と、華やかに重なり合うさまざまな伝統文様。その美しい調和から、作品名を「瑞雲華」と名付けました。
This piece is believed to have been made from a Nishijin-ori obi dating from around the 1970s–80s.
A rich variety of traditional Japanese motifs—including Shippo (interlocking circles), Seigaiha (waves), and Tatewaku (rising curves)—overlap gracefully across the softly colored composition. These motifs are arranged within Kumotori, cloud-shaped sections that bring different patterns together in a single design.
Shippo, formed by endlessly connected circles, represents connection, harmony, and unity. Seigaiha symbolizes peace and enduring happiness through its endlessly repeating waves, while Tatewaku, traditionally associated with rising steam, evokes upward movement and vitality. Delicate botanical motifs, including maple leaves and flowers, add further detail to the composition.
The name “Zuiunka” was inspired by the auspicious clouds and the many traditional motifs that bloom across the obi in beautiful harmony.
