1980代頃の西陣織の袋帯と推定されます。
金糸が織りなす輝きの中に、稲穂を思わせる植物の意匠が流れるように広がる帯。
稲穂は、日本において「豊穣」「実り」「繁栄」を象徴する吉祥文様。
実りを思わせる穂の意匠は、日本の豊かな自然や秋の情景を感じさせます。

作品名の「瑞穂（みずほ）」は、豊かに実る稲穂を意味し、日本は古くから「瑞穂の国」とも称されてきたことから名付けました。光の角度によってさまざまな表情を見せ、帯ならではの繊細な織りの美しさを感じていただける作品です。

This piece is believed to have been made from a Nishijin-ori obi dating from around the 1980s.
Against the luminous gold-threaded background, a flowing botanical motif reminiscent of ears of rice unfolds across the obi.

In Japan, rice-ear motifs are considered auspicious symbols of abundance, harvest, and prosperity. The ear-like design evokes Japan’s rich natural landscape and the atmosphere of autumn.

The title “Mizuho” means richly ripening ears of rice and was inspired by the ancient name “Mizuho no Kuni,” or “Land of Abundant Rice,” once used to describe Japan. Changing beautifully with the angle of the light, this piece reveals the delicate beauty of weaving unique to the obi.
