Hanagasumi -花霞

1980年～1990年代頃の西陣織を使って制作しました。
金糸で織り出された「雲取り文様」は、日本の古典的な美意識を象徴するデザインで、雲の形を図案化し、天上の世界や吉兆を表す吉祥文様のひとつです。

その雲間に咲き誇るのは、四季折々の草花をモチーフにした伝統文様。日本人が古来より大切にしてきた“自然との共生”や“季節の美”が丁寧に織り込まれています。
日本の伝統的な花文様には、自然の美しさと人生への願いが込められています。

（文様の意味）
・撫子（なでしこ）：日本女性の美しさや優しさの象徴
・桔梗（ききょう）：誠実、永遠の愛
・梅：忍耐と再生
・紅葉・楓：季節の移ろいを慈しむ感性
・牡丹・芍薬に似た花々：富貴と繁栄の象徴

This artwork was created using a fukuro-obi woven in Kyoto’s Nishijin district during the 1980s–1990s.
The shimmering kumo-dori (cloud motif), woven with gold threads, is a classic design that symbolizes the heavens and auspicious omens—an expression of Japan’s refined aesthetic tradition.
Amid these golden clouds bloom vibrant seasonal flowers, rendered in traditional Japanese motifs that reflect a deep reverence for nature and the changing seasons.
Each floral pattern carries not only natural beauty but also heartfelt wishes for life’s journey.
